The WEP Lewisham team hope all local members and supporters will join us for our Branch meeting on 27th July 2017, starting at 7pm at the Talent Factory.
This Branch meeting will have an exciting agenda, including:
- Feedback on the General Election experience, Lewisham members were the most active of any non-campaign-based branch
- Plans for campaigns and policy workshops in the autumn
- Updates on events for summer and autumn
- Volunteers wanted
- Your suggestions
- Branch officer elections
Branch officer elections will take place at this meeting. Branch Officers are volunteers and get support and training from Central Office plus a large network of online support from sister branches locally and nationwide. Branch Officers (except Treasurer) can be job shares and you don’t need to have a sharer in mind to put yourself forward.* Any branch member can nominate themselves to be a branch officer: Branch Leader, Treasurer or Data Manager. If you can’t attend the branch meeting and would still like to be considered, please email no more than a page of A4 about your interest in taking on one of the roles and your experience. At the meeting there will be an opportunity to introduce yourselves.
Only members who attend the meeting will be able to vote in the Branch Officer election so make sure you put the date in your diary now.
